Appearance and Materials
Case and Strap: The case is made of white gold and paired with Rolex's patented Oysterflex rubber strap, combining sportiness and luxury while being lightweight and comfortable to wear.
Bezel: The black Cerachrom ceramic tachymeter bezel, engraved with "UNITS PER HOUR," is a signature design of the Daytona, used for timing and tachymeter measurement; it is scratch-resistant and does not easily fade.
Dial: A pure black dial with three silver chronograph subdials (hour counter at 9 o'clock, minute counter at 3 o'clock, and second counter at 6 o'clock). The hour markers are luminous bar-shaped, and the hands are the central hour, minute, and second hands, as well as a chronograph seconds hand. The word "DAYTONA" is printed in red below the 3 o'clock position.
Functions and Movement
Core Function: Chronograph function, controlled by the chronograph pushers on either side of the crown to start/stop/reset; a professional chronograph watch designed for motorsports.
Movement: Equipped with Rolex's in-house Cal.4130 (old model) or Cal.4131 (new model) automatic movement, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, ensuring accurate and stable timekeeping.
